Toby's dream of putting together a group of exciting and talented musicians has finally been realized. Toby was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa and he draws upon a wide array of musical influences to guide him on his musical journey, including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Led Zepplin, and the British folk rockers Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span. With a soulful voice and outstanding guitar work, Toby's blend of rock, folk, blues, jazz and African rhythms, coupled with his great stage presence, make Toby a joy to watch and listen to.
Steve's bass is the center of the sound of the Toby Tobias Ensemble. His passion and love of music is easily detected by the flowing bass lines and licks he effortlessly plays and composes. He also plays with the exciting Long Island-based blues band 'Madawg and the Pack' and performs regularly on the Island and elsewhere.
'Fink' hails from the South Shore of Long Island where he has been plying his trade for the past 25 years - as the drummer and backup vocalist with the Long Island band 'Iron Horse' and studio and session work for various artists and music projects in the New York Metropolitan area. He feels equally at home in all genres of music and is excited to be performing the material of The Toby Tobias Ensemble.Toby Tobias
